Little Leaf & Co is focused on offering tactile experimentation through the play of hand moulding clay.

Now new to our creative endeavours we have been working on bringing art and creativity to little ones to involve them in hands on clay moulding.

As each child will have a product to go home with, the main focus is on the experience of experimenting and playing with clay that can be manipulated to their liking. It is a very tactile experience from forming their work to seeing it displayed

Class Structure

Making - Will start by discussing questions about home, what it looks like and how to interpret this into form.  Asking questions like ‘What does your happy home look like? What shape, patterns and colours would you add to your home?’ Each child will start with the same clay slab and then cut the form.  Then discussing tactile elements of patterns to roll into the clay, adding parts to their form and pressing shapes or stamps.

Glazing - Adding underglaze to the house and asking what colours do they see their happy home?

Week 1 - Making - 2 hours

Week 2 - Glazing - 1.5 hours

Week 3 - Exhibition and Collection - 1 hour with parents and artists to view everyone’s works.

Cost - $65 (Max 12 people)

Where - After school classes from 3pm at PTSS Art Room. Please bring water bottle and small snack.
