Kurinuki Cup

A$34.95

Embracing the Japanese art of Kurinuki (meaning ‘to hollow’), we have created a series using this technique that is hand carved displaying the character of jagged textured rock surfaces. It involves the creation of distinctive, textured surfaces that embrace asymmetry, irregularity, and the unique imprint of the creator.

Like in nature, these pieces are a spontaneous textural form and although may seem similar in look and feel, they are individual and do vary.

Made using an oyster white clay with fine black speckles and finished in a clear matt glaze.

Approximately measuring 10cm high by 7cm diameter.

These pieces are made to be functional and food safe.
